frequently asked questions (faq)

Same services, but with a new name and look! Kepro will soon be known as Acentra Health. During this rebrand, case reviews and all other services will continue without interruption with the same quality and dependability we have always provided. Phone numbers and fax numbers will not be changing. Please read below for additional information.

  1. Will healthcare providers need to update their appeal notices?
We will encourage providers to update their notices – the Important Message from Medicare (IM) and the Notice of Medicare Non-Coverage (NOMNC) – by changing “Kepro” to “Acentra Health” when convenient for your organization. Notices will not be made invalid if they have “Kepro” listed.

  2. Will Kepro’s phone numbers and fax numbers be changing?
Kepro’s phone numbers and fax numbers will not be changing. Kepro’s contact information is available on the Contact Us page

  3. Will Kepro’s Regions be changing?
Kepro has been contracted to perform Medicare’s mandatory reviews through 2029. Its review Regions will not be changing.

  4. Does my organization need a new Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)?
If your facility has a signed MOA document with Kepro, there is no need for a new MOA.

  5. Will there be any changes related to Kepro’s services?
Kepro’s services will not change in any way. Kepro will still be the Beneficiary and Family Centered Care Quality Improvement Organization (BFCC-QIO) for the same Regions. The only thing different is Kepro’s new name, Acentra Health.

  6. Will there be a new website? If so, will the Case Status tool still be available?
Kepro will have a new website with a new web address. The Case Status tool will be available on the new site and function the same.

  7. When will the name change take place?
The name change is scheduled to take place by fall 2024. At that time, the new website will be available.
